A Bumper Month of Awards and Welcome

It has been a truly fantastic month here at Portway House, filled with celebrations and recognition for the incredible work of our team.

With the recent West Midlands Care Association and Great British Care Awards, we have had plenty to cheer about.

Today, we wanted to take a moment to say a personal thank you to our staff for their dedication, hard work, and unwavering care. Each member of the team received a small token of Portway appreciation as a reminder of how much they mean to all of us.

This month, we are also celebrating our award-winning chef Clare. She looked absolutely thrilled to receive her Great British Care Award, and it is easy to see why. Clare embodies dedication and passion in her work.

As she puts it, "My job feels like I cook for my extended family every day and I always want the best for the best." Congratulations to Clare for this well-deserved recognition.

We are also delighted to welcome a new member to our housekeeping team, Sarah. Sarah has already become a valued part of Portway, bringing her warmth, energy, and love of conversation to the home. She enjoys chatting with residents, listening to their stories, and supporting the team day in, day out.

This November has reminded us just how lucky we are to have such a passionate and caring team. From award-winning chefs to dedicated housekeeping staff, it has been a month to celebrate, and now we are all excited for the festive celebrations next month brings.
