Portway House's Grease-themed summer fete
The sun shone brightly over Portway House as the community gathered for a summer fete that was straight out of the 1950s! Themed around the beloved musical Grease, the event brought together families, friends, and local residents for a day filled with nostalgia, laughter, and plenty of activities.
As attendees arrived, they were greeted by the sounds of classic tunes from the Grease soundtrack, setting the perfect atmosphere for a day of fun. The event kicked off with an energetic dance performance, where both young and old showed off their best moves, channeling their inner Danny Zuko and Sandy Olsson.
But the fun didn’t stop there. The fete featured a variety of stalls run by small businesses from the local area, offering everything from handmade crafts and unique gifts to delicious treats. Visitors enjoyed browsing the stalls, supporting local entrepreneurs, and picking up some one-of-a-kind items to take home.
For the little ones, the highlight of the day was undoubtedly the face painting booth. Talented artists transformed children into their favorite Grease characters, superheroes, and animals, adding an extra layer of excitement to the festivities. Giggles and smiles filled the air as kids proudly showed off their new looks to family and friends.
Everyone left with a smile on their face, a tune in their heart, and a longing for next year’s event!
