About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Clinical Deputy Manager to support the Home Manager in the day-to-day operation of our nursing home. The successful candidate will provide strong clinical leadership, ensure high standards of resident care, and help maintain compliance with relevant healthcare regulations and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Home Manager in the overall management of the nursing home. 
• Provide clinical leadership and supervision to nursing and care staff. 
• Ensure residents receive safe, person-centred, and high-quality care. 
• Monitor and maintain clinical standards, policies, and procedures. 
• Conduct clinical audits and implement quality improvement initiatives. 
• Assist with staff recruitment, induction, training, and performance management. 
• Manage medication administration processes and clinical risk assessments. 
• Support safeguarding, infection prevention, and health and safety requirements. 
• Liaise effectively with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies. 
• Act as Home Manager in their absence. 

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD) with a valid professional registration. 
• Previous experience in a senior nursing or leadership role within a nursing home or care setting. 
• Strong knowledge of care regulations, clinical governance, and quality standards. 
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills. 
• Ability to motivate and develop teams to deliver outstanding care. 
• Good IT and record-keeping skills.
